Weight!

Alright, here are my thoughts for today...

I had this conversation with my friend Cheryl the other day and we couldn't figure it out. Maybe you guys can help me out. Why is it that the things like eating right, working out, and resting; which we know are good for us, are the things we continually avoid?

Maybe it's just me, but I know it's good for me and I even feel better about myself and have more energy after I work out and exercise. BUT, for some reason, I struggle to stay motivated. Why is that??? I seem to find anything and everything to do that gets in the way of me doing what's best for me and my body! :(

Help me... do you have any thoughts, tricks, or ideas of how to stay motivated and be more self-disciplined???

You are so precious!
Your smile is an immediate encouragement to me.
I don't really know what "advise" to give other than setting a goal.
What is the result you want to see? Focus on 1 day at a time and if you "fall off", start back the very next day or meal or snack.
You can do it, girl! You motivated me...that's for sure!

Train your thoughts first. Every time you start to think, "I hate exercising" repeat a simple phrase like "This makes me feel so refreshed." After a while, when the first thought forms, before you know it, you are finishing it with your phrase.

For me exercise is part of life, it's physical nourishment that enriches you. I have always struggled with my weight but I enjoy a challenge, when I started my new job down here at the Galleria I joined the 24 hour fitness on Post Oak, I am a regular at the spin classes and boot camps. I have lost 20 pounds since I had my colonostomy. For me I really want it more than anything so motivation is easy. I want to get back to my high school weight. My advice is to due something that you have fun doing, for me spinning is very challenging and now I have incorporated tennis and bought a new road bike. That is what helped me. I hope this helps you, also read Body for Life, and excellent guide. I enjoy your singing and wish the best for you.
