Sunday, October 26th was yet another busy day for us. We started out by getting to the church around 8:00 AM. We had band rehearsal and 2 services. Then I ran to Alisha's with Chris (our drummer) to pick up some food for a band lunch meeting we had after church at the Butler's house. While at the meeting we took these cheesy pictures below. I should probably explain... We just ended a marriage series and ended it all with a vow renewal ceremony. Donald had the bright idea that we as the band & production team should wear tuxedo t-shirts and be the wedding singers/ reception band. It was silly, but fun! I love these guys who have committed to play with us. They have amazing talent and even bigger hearts and such a passion to lead others into a time of worship. Thank God for guys who want to use their gifts and talents for Him!
After we left Donald's house, we drove to Montgomery, TX for baby Brooklynn White's 1st birthday party! She was absolute precious!!! She had a cowgirl party and dressed up in the cutest outfit ever with little baby cowboy boots. We decided to stick with the theme and bought her first horse. lol. It was a little pink horse with wheels that she can ride around. It neighs and sings songs like "She'll be Coming Around the Mountain." She really liked it and that made me happy. I also made Cheryl and Alex (her parents) a scrapbook of the first year of her life. So much fun!
When we left the party, we drove to the Woodlands, since we were near by. We saw my mom, dad, Nathan (little brother), and Taz (the dog). I always love seeing them, it seems to make the stress go away and makes me smile, like I am safe back at home (I know it sounds silly). I LOVE MY FAMILY!!! Even though it was a really short visit, it was definitely worth while! :)
As if that was not a day filled with enough fun, we then headed to the Olives for a pumpkin carving party with the Olives, Kirtleys, and Scrantons. Although they had finished their pumpkins by the time we arrived, we still hung out for a few hours and had a great time! LOVE those people as they have become part of our family!
Here are some pictures from the day...
Would you let us be your church staff or wedding party?!?!
This past Friday, October 24th, we got to get out of the "Cypress bubble" and headed downtown to hang with some of my old buddies from Jr. High. It was great catching up! These two guys used to take care of me like big brothers when I was little. They took me out to eat, showed me downtown and spoiled me like crazy! Love these boys! It was a lot of fun getting back together so many years later with our significant others and catching up on how much we've changed over time. We ate at Cafe Adobe on Westheimer. It was good stuff and we had a blast!

The 3 Amigos from back in the day
They will be Mr. & Mrs. Flower officially this December!!!
After we left the restaurant and our friends, we decided to continue on a date with just the two of us while the night was still young. We headed off to Amy's Ice Cream. It is the best in Houston! Funny story, while there, we ran into a buddy of Blake's from high school. It continued our theme of the night "of reunions." We sat with him and his fiance. It was fun meeting someone from Blake's past and enjoying some yummy dessert in the process! :)
This was Friday, October 17th... We went over to the Olive's house to hang with some great friends. Becky makes some AMAZING 7-Layer dip and I definitely ate my fair share of it! ;) Jessica and I confessed our distant obsession with each other and instantly became long lost BFFs! We played Catch Phrase, where the girls continuously dominated... or at least that's what my mind remembers!!! ;) We jammed to some old school rap tunes on Randy's computer and had a blast reminiscing on the good old days! Who would have guessed that white boy Sanders has so much soul? lol. We love these people and thank God for the precious friendships he has blessed us with!!!

October has been crazy busy at work and I have not had any time update the blog. :( Some girl friends of mine called me out on it last night, so I decided to MAKE the time and fix it today! I know I don't always write/ type a lot on here but I love to communicate through pictures, so here it goes... Here was the weekend of October 11th & 12th at COF...
We are the Jackson's... Blake and Robin Jackson. We got married May 12th of 2007, so we have been married for four years now! YEA! We met in college at Houston Baptist University where we traveled together in a vocal group and discovered our common passion for music and people! We now have the joy of working together at Community of Faith, a church where we are in full-time ministry, leading worship, hanging out with students, and praising God for the opportunity He has blessed us with to serve together! We were pregnant last Spring and lost our first baby (whom we called Baby Bean). We now have our second bundle of joy that blessed us with his presence May 15, 2011. We named him Nash Whittan Jackson. He is amazing and we could not be more excited to be his parents. Our family is growing and we thank God every day for the amazing things He continues to give us!
